1. Personal Information We Collect
When you visit https://www.ukaspirevendor.co.uk (the “Site”), UK Aspire Vendor automatically gathers certain details about your device, including your browser type, IP address, time zone and any cookies installed. We also record which pages or products you view, the websites or search terms that directed you here, and how you interact with the Site. We call this collection “Device Information.”
We obtain Device Information by means of:
- Cookies: Small data files placed on your device, often containing an anonymous unique identifier. Disabling cookies may prevent full use of Site features.
- Log files: Records of actions on the Site, capturing data such as your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring and exit pages, and timestamps.
- Web beacons, tags and pixels: Electronic files that track how you browse the Site.
- Google Analytics: Used to log the pages you visit and duration of your sessions, helping us improve your shopping experience.
When you place—or attempt to place—an order via the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing and shipping addresses, payment details (handled by Braintree and PayPal), email address and telephone number. We refer to this as “Order Information.”
At various points on the Site you may choose to enter your email address to subscribe to our newsletter. We store your email in our database and use Klaviyo to send marketing messages.
2. Use of Personal Information
We use the Order Information we collect primarily to fulfil any orders placed through the Site: processing payments, arranging shipping and issuing invoices or confirmations. We also use it to communicate with you, vet orders for potential risk or fraud, and—subject to your preferences—send you marketing information about our products and services.
Device Information helps us detect possible fraud or security risks (particularly via your IP address) and, more broadly, to enhance and optimise the Site. Through analytics on customer browsing and interaction, we evaluate the effectiveness of our marketing and advertising. We employ Google Analytics to track customer trends, enabling us to refine particular sections of the Site and enrich your overall shopping experience.
3. Sharing Your Personal Information
We only disclose your Personal Information to third parties for fraud prevention and age verification. For instance, we rely on Shopify to operate our online store and Google Analytics to analyse how customers use the Site.
We may also share your information to comply with applicable laws or legal processes (such as a court order or search warrant), or to protect our rights.
4. Your Rights
If you reside in Europe, you are entitled to access the personal data we hold about you and request its correction, updating or deletion. Please note that your data will not be transferred outside of Europe.
5. Data Retention
We retain your Order Information for our records after you place an order via the Site, until you ask us to delete it. A backup copy is retained indefinitely for accounting purposes.
6. Minors
The Site is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. Any user discovered to be under 18 will have their access terminated and any orders cancelled immediately.
7. Changes
We may occasionally revise this Privacy Policy to reflect updates to our practices or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
